Looking to go from a Jetta to G35 Newbie

Hi, I'm new to this fourm I just signed up today because I just found this fourm today. It seems like a well established fourm. I am 19 turning 20 and looking for a new car. I have always wnated a G35 when they came out and I'm seriously looking into getting one this time but need some help and input. I'm big into motor work and a little body work and also likes auto's cause I'm lazy . I had a manual Camaro SS and didn't like it so much. My current vechile is a 02 VW Jetta 1.8T. I did a BT swap and many bolt ones and ran 392bhp at 28psi with stock block, head, auto trans.(no water/methanol either) It is a alright driver but want something new and more luxurious cause Vw's don't cut it. So I needed input on what kind of performance parts are good cause I see the older 02, 03 models are only running 280 horse stock correct me if im wrong. But I was seeing if I could go around the 450 range with a sc or turbo kit with out motor work. Also what kind of other mods would need to be done? How reliable and dependable that would be? And what kind of horse does a stock auto take vs a manual. I was big fan of APi or some brand like that's S/C cause I like turbo's but not a fan of lag, SO hear some input on other brands or info and I like stall converters if they make those for the Auto's. Last but not least how much would you say would be dropped for around 450 dependable power going new or used. Any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ryan

Whats up Ryan. I made the switch from a Jetta to a g35 and love it. For you to get as much hp as your saying, I don't think it's 100% safe on the stock internals. But I think you can get it up around 350whp on the stock internals. From what I gather to do that you would be looking in the 10G range, tuned and installed. Hope this helps.
