ok well my car was repainted recently thru geico b/c it was keyed the entire way around...they estimated $4700 in damage which was all covered thank god....paint came out nice except.....

i think they painted my car ATHENS BLUE over my original CARIBBEAN BLUE!!!!!

will post pics in the morning b/c its too dark right now but WTF lol
when i open the sunroof it looks to be a little darker on the top portion where it was repainted or maybe im just paranoid....anyway just felt like sharing.

damn man thats sucks but im sure it was entertaining enough to try explaining that they painted it the wrong color lol

oh and you might want to change your color from Carribean Blue to Athens Blue in your sig

 

I see that as a positive...love athens blue.

 

lol thing is i just realized it now, i've had it back a week already(was in shop for a month) ....all my friends at work kept saying oh nice color i like it better darker, i was convinced it was the same and telling them it was still CB lol

 

Maybe your car has faded a little over time, I can't see a body shop not taking the paint code off your vehicle before ordering paint.

If they did screw up, you get a free paint job!

I really like the Athens Blue much much MUCH more than the CB. I'd even go as far as to say that the Carribean Blue is the ugliest color you can get the G in, and the Athens Blue is one of the better ones.

Just my opinion though.

 

maybe the blue around the sunroof (where you say is lighter) faded since its in the sunlight alot and just faded over time?? well either way this can be one of those times u actually get to try the "what if i got it in..." i have a DG coupe and now i kinda wish i got it in white instead... o well

 

CB is the greatest color. You got screwed big time. I'd make them do it over!

 

isnt there a pretty big difference between athens blue and carib. blue? like a big enough difference by just looking at the car?

That's crazy. Please take some pics so we can help you decide if you got Athens Blue. I bet you're right though - I'm sure you'd notice the difference. What do you personally think of Athens Blue? Seems like the majority of your friends at work and the people here on the board like AB better. I would take it to a different shop to get it painted though, if you can. The 1st shop will no doubt be upset about their mistake, and could possibly ruin your 2nd paint job by doing a sloppy or rushed job - which would be an even worse outcome than having the wrong color.

Good **** man, Athens blue is wayyy sicker, now go back to the paint shop say you painted it wrong but you can compensate with dropping sum sick rims, or sumthing else that you like .
