Thumbs up Trade NEW Coupe seats for Sedan seats 05'-06'

Interested in 2005 or 2006 Stone leather Sedan seats to put in my Coupe. Will trade 2006 coupe seats plus professional install. My 06' coupe has less than 500 miles and seats are obviously in perfect brand new condition -heated with memory. I know the coupe seats are worth more but I am not interested in money, so here is what I propose. Whoever gets blessed with my brand new coupe seats pays for the swap done by a professional-either dealer or interior shop.

This of course limits the transaction to local only and I am in the greater Phoenix area. Although recently moved from So. Cal so there are possibilities there also.

Let me know... and if this belongs in Marketplace my apologies...

seats

sedan seats are much flatter and do not hold you in the seat as well as coupe seats do. coupe seats are similar to racing seats, sedan seats are just like any other seat

+ you wont be able to put ppl in the back anymore unless u manually slide the seat forward everytime...

Not a good idea

in2win hit it on the head. I am 6'5" 230lbs and can't take the confining coupe seat. I just sold my sedan and bought the coupe. LOVE the car but can't take the racing type seat confinement for long drives. If you are a smaller frame and in to performance driving... these are the seats you want.

About the adjustment issues. You mean the power passenger seat will not go forward anymore? If not than how do you let someone in the back. ALthough this is not really an issue cause I never have rear seat passengers (at least in this car) I would like to know more about it.

Anyone...?

I believe only the coupe seats have the auto forward feature for entry to the rear seating......Since the sedan is a four door, that feature would not be applicable.

In any case, worse senario you would have to move the seat forward manually so you could access the rear seating.

Not only do the sedan seats not have the auto forward function, they don't have the fold up levers like the coupe seats, which would make it very troublesome to get someone in the back at all. I would also check if the sedan seat can actually even fold up or if it is limited to the power control range. Another issue may be the mounting points my be different on the two models and will require custom brackets etc. One final issue that may be a concern is seat height, I would guess the sedan seats sit slightly higher than the coupe seats, which may cause issues when installed in the coupe, especially since you are 6'5".

Those are all perfect points you would want to take a look at.

Exactly, why would you ask coupe guys if they wanted to trade for sedan seats which they don't own for coupe seats they already have. I understand asking if anyone's done it before in here, but he's asking for a trade in this forum
