1st damn speeding ticket
Go to court, tell the judge it's your first ticket, and tell him what happened. You got over to the other lane to avoid the officer and allow room, but just wasn't paying attention to your speed. You weren't knowingly speeding etc. Plead guilty and ask for driver's school.
Depending on your municipality, you'll most likely get the school. You'll pay the court costs and spend one saturday in a driver's class, but you'll have no points on your record, the ticket will be erased so no insurance hike, and you won't **** off the judge by trying to fight or suck up.

PM me if you need their name and phone number. They are fighting a ticket of mine right now.

that sucks chilibowl, my first thoughts to that was how ridiuclous cops can be.. cops have no respect for a reason, theyll do anything to show they have power over us, especially in cars that arnt your average joe's car.
happens to us all man, good luck with it

its alot better to fight it, im not sure if in FL they point you on your license for speeding tickets but if you fight it and have it dismissed youll avoid raising your insurance premium and having that violation on your record. ( I got a tailgating ticket = 4pts on my license, violation stays for 3 yrs...:-( )
