Bose vs. Non-Bose Sound

Has anybody heard the two different systems? I am curious what the actual sound differences are. I am deciding between Premium or just ordering the sunroof.

Thanks.

Re: Bose vs. Non-Bose Sound

the bose is a little better..... I would save the money and get my own custom sound system installed at a fraction of the price and with a much much much much much BETTER sound quality

What else do you lose with just getting the sunroof? This is something i am considering also. This takes the price down to 32,945 from 34,265. What is this homelink system?

homelink is a series of 3 buttons on the driver-side visor that allows you to program in 3 automatic garage door openers

according to my paper work on the car, the premium package includes dual climate control, 4-way power passenger seat, auto anti-glare rear view mirror, auto on/off headlights and ofcourse the homelink system just to name a few.

Re: Bose vs. Non-Bose Sound

Yes & in this car, the HomeLink is part of the Anti-glare auto dimming rearview mirror, not part of the visor as it has been in other Infiniti's. I have the Bose stereo in my Coupe & I have had G35 Sedans as loan cars when in for service & unless you are going to go out & spend a fair amount of addtl money post sale, I personally think the Bose system as part of the package is worth it. There is a HUGE difference with the 2 rear deck subwoofers, which the non Bose unit does not have. I know I have read a lot of mixed reviews on these boards abou the factory units / speakers, & I'll admit in some respects they do have obvious limitations, but I truly enjoy the quality of the sound system that is installed, & I even have my iPod hooked into the car & listen to music ALL the time when driving. There are other, performance related items I would rather spend money on, than pour gobs more cash into a stereo upgrade & for the moment, there is no real decent way around the fact that the buttons for the stereo are molded into the center console & there is no great option for removing the factory head & placing an aftermarket unit in. My advice would be, & it's just the .02 cents that it's worth, but get the better Bose factory unit & be happy with it. Unless you need competition class sound, I think the factory Bose system sounds pretty good & between the 2 factory units, there is a very clear difference in favor of the Bose unit....
