alignment - Bell Tire refused to do it

Anyone have an issue finding a non-dealer to align your G? I took my car in today after i put my new tires on and they gave me some printout from thier machine. It stated that they could not align the vehicle because it had VCD.

hrmmm....

dealer will hose me.

BS..my mechanic aligned mine to factory specs, he also does Minis, bimmers, vettes, cars lowered, set up for autoX, etc. etc.
The only ones he can't do are some of the latest Mercedes. He would have to spend almost double over the $250K he already spent on his Hunter rack.
Wheel balance is a no brainer. Some dealerships don't even do their own alignments, they farm it out.

I have found a few dealers who will not do my car since it's lowered but not because it has VDC?!?

Take care of the family first. I am a single father of a 3 year-old (4 next month) and she always comes first. The car is my hobby to stay sane some of the time.

Most firestones suck at alignments, they will just try to get it within the specs, but not to the optimal points within the ranges. Better off finding a local forum and ask for suggestion from autox guys. A good alignment for people with camber kits should cost in the range of $80-100, and you should be able to tell the tech exactly what values you want for your setup, and with camber kits they should be able to do it. Try calling the shop you are taking it to and asking them if you can specifiy your alignment setup instead of using the stock values and see what they say, its the best way to determine their level of competency

Is that what most dealers charge? I will probably need to align right after installing g35 H-Techs, no?
