Hi. I'm after some simple info about our lights. I have tried searching, but most threads about this are advanced and confusing really. I have a JDM V35 and wondering how long the HIDs last (normal beam)? I have a friend with a "normal" runaround car and he says that Xenons bulbs are only a little more than Halogens (he says around $30). Looking on the internet for bulbs, the price seems much higher for our car. The manual does not give a part number (it says go to Infiniti Dealer - which I cannot do where I am). Any ideas what part I need and the price?

And what about those rear light LEDs? Will then need to be replaced and approx how long?

Thanks everyone

the rear are intergrated into a circut board but if one burns out you are kinda screwed unless you take the light apart and resoder a new led but led last for quite a long time I think like 100K hours or something like that. As far as the headlight the bulbs will last a while as well you can get them from other places d2r bulb if I remember correct

Thanks for you help. It's a pretty lonely experience with a G35/V35 over here. The manual is in unreadable japanese, Nissan Dealers don't know and are not interested and the G35 manual (which is a close, but not perfect fit) often states to refer to an Infiniti Dealer (as in this case) which of course is not possible. So these forums are a godsend for support for people like me who don't know too much about car mechanics etc but just want to drive a great machine. Thanks again.

lucky you with the skyline. The taillight should last you the life of you owning it, while the headlight bulb will go dimmer as time goes on, but that is about 300 hours of usage. if you have the model prior to 06, simply look for "4300K D2R HID bulbs" on ebay, it should run about 50 a pair at most, make sure it's Philip or Osram or Silvania, some name brand. if you have the 06+ look for "4300K D2S HID bulbs"

hope this helps. any pictures of your ride?

Great info thanks. I was thinking it would be £100 ($200) each bulb, but I have noted your info for when the time comes and saved myself some money too.

Pictures - I'll post some in a few days, because I have four 19" Rays NISMO rims sitting in my lounge after a long trip from over your way. They're waiting for the Tyres to be fitted. The machine will look much better then!!

Thanks again for you help
