Not a great day...

I was going down to meet up a friend when i was about to do a left turn without signalling knowing that it's not that big of a deal. Suddenly a found myself you turned onto the other lane facing the opposite. Then i realized i was hit from the back while i was turning left. So i got out and i was like What the ****? , the inconsiderate person tells me O YOU DIDNT SIGNAL LEFT.. Im like thinking WTF. so does tat mean you can hit me with full speed all you wanT? then later she says ooo i thought u were pulling right and then you suddenly turned left. So i was like **** this and i checked my car.. luckily there was no big dents my paint was just chipped off really bad. and my alignments seems to be ****ed.. (rear left wheel) .. also i notice my VDC OFF and SLIP light on when i was driving home.. ****ign not a good day.. .... you guys think i am 100% on this?

Did you get a police report? Her insurance needs to cover the damages.

go to firestone and get it aligned with the lifetime alignment as soon as you can. It's $170. It won't drive as well but it should be ok for a little while depending on how bad it's out of alignment.

the VDC measures speed on all four wheels, since it's off, it triggers the light, not a big deal but it does harm your tires.

You still shouldn't have made an illegal u-turn without signaling. Granted she hit you in the back - but what you didn't wasn't legal either - just to be fair.

He didn't make an illegal "u-turn". He was turning and got spun after getting hit.

RTFP.

When you get called by the insurance company you can deny that you failed to use your turn signal. Your word against hers and she rearended you. Not ethical and I don't suggest doing it but if YOU choose to do so, it is on your conscience. Otherwise, you may be found to be partially at fault - despite being rear ended.

You should try to avoid bringing up the fact that you didn't use a signal before turning.... even though she will get faulted with the accident, you might end up with a citation or something for failing to use a signal. I'm not sure how that works in regards to a signaling citation and no officer being there to witness the incident. Either way, the accident is still her fault.. but it can't help the situation to bring that up or admit guilt to the signaling infraction unless forced to. A lawyer might even tell you to just lie about the turn signal if she had no passengers in her car to back up her story, or any other witnesses to the accident.

Not signalling obviously doesn't give her the right to rear end you.

Not a good day at all.........

When someone doesn't signal in front of me I alway wonder " WTF didn't
they get that option?" If there on the cel they don't know if they signled
or not. How did we get thru the day before we had cel phones..........?
We dove our cars and we're aware of what was going on in our world!
