Re: cable through fire wall
I have the same unit.
I drilled a hole thru the fire wall, just up and to the left of the brake pedal. (looking at it from the inside)
Be sure to seal the hole with silicone, as the water runoff from the windshield seems to splash onto the windshield wiper motor, and then runs down right where I drilled.
I chose this location because the remote starter installer used it, and it seems to be the only good place to drill.
I mounted the Whistler display unit right in front of the cig lighter.
I took the guts out of the socket, and ran the wires through it.
Picked up power from the lighter plug.
You can see the display through the steering wheel, I did this on my sedan, and will transfer it to my coupe once it arrives.
And where you sit lower in the coupe, I think it will be easier to see.
BS Sedan for now, DG Coupe end of March
