Boy, you sure recalled so bad info Here's what I got from another forum:

Here is the section from the CVC:
28150. (a) No vehicle shall be equipped with any device that is designed for, or is capable of, jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.

(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.

(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.

(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.

(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a valid federal license for operating the devices described in this section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the device is being transported.

From this I conclude that if I get caught, it is nothing more than an infraction. Can a vehicle be impounded for an infraction?

Then I wondered what the penalty would be. This is what I found:
28150 (a,b) 52 I Equipping Vehicle With or Possession of Radar Jamming
Equipment
Base fine=25
State PA=30
County PA=21
DNA PA=3
Court PA=15.00
Surcharge=5
Total Bail=99.00
Category=1a
Points=0

So it would be a $100 ticket that does not go on the record, right? I got this from:

I just called and have some concerns. He states that they sell the M-20 only and that the M-40 is just 2 M-20 so it would be the same price twice.
That is not excatly true. as the M-20 is the same control unit with only 2 heads. So you could add 2 more heads to a M-20 and amke it a M-40.
In fact some people have bought 1 M-20 & 1 M-40 and taken the 1 head from the M-40 and put it with the M-20. This way thay can have 2 heads for the front and 1 for the back on both units/cars.

Not sure, but that would make me think that it may be a fake. It ends up being the same price as the GB (on the M-20) with shipping, if they are real.
M-40 is alot more expensive then the GB

yeah it's the same control unit for the M-20 and M-40. The control unit can take upto 4 heads. I emailed blinder about this in the past and they sell the heads individually but they are $150 each, so it makes more sense to just get the M-20 and split up the set as you mentioned. You'll have some spare parts too incase anything breaks. It's real, trust me. me and my friends have ordered 4 sets from them and they all work and have saved us countless tickets. Right now over here the cops are going nuts and handing out tickets like it's going out of style. They issued something like 3700 speeding tickets in a 3 week period. My Blinder goes off daily, sometimes 2 or 3 times.

I got nailed for 6 over on laser. The V1 told me what kind of ticket I was getting. That is why I am trying to get the GB together so that I can save some money on one. I may have to buy 2 to make the deal happen and put one on the wifs car.
It just seemed that they did not know much about it. That's why I was un sure.

They mount in plain sight. The heads work in line of sight (just like the laser gun that tags your car) They have to be mounted level to the ground to get the best protection. Most put them in the grills. It is very easy to install. Run the wires from the heads to the control unit under the dash and hook it up to 12 volt. There is a LED, switch & piezo 85dp siren to mount for warning you. The units are pretty small (black & rectangle)

The cops in Corpus Christ Texas like to use their laser on the approach and departure lanes for the High Bridge. The speed limit is 55. In the mornings average traffic speed over the bridge is 70+, even if you take your foot completely off the gas, you will still be going 65+ by the time you get to the bottom of the bridge. So traffic is usually running 10 to 20 over the posted speed limit, unless you want to be run over, you better keep up with traffic.

The sneaky bastards hide on one of the over passes with a motorcycle cop doing the spotting and they line up 8 patrol cars just waiting for the signal.

It's big money and they take advantage of the fact that 90% of the people are going to be doing at least 10 over through no fault of their own.

The group install is a great idea, but I am in North Texas (Dallas).
I will be making the order on Tues. So the cut-off for money would be Monday night.
I will PM details.

One big question. . .

. . .Where would we mount one of these bad boys on our coupes?

The grill seems like the best spot for one, but I think we'd have to do some cutting to get the heads to fit right.

Anyone already installed a blinder on his G? Please post up pics
