Question Brake light comes on under heavy braking...

Whenever I step hard on the brakes, the red "brake" light comes on (same on for the parking brake)

I ran a search and the closest thing I could come up with was that my brake fluid might be low (I'll be checking it after work)

Can anyone confirm this? Or anyone had the same issue? Thanks.

yeah, your fluid is prob low and when you brake hard it is sloshing around in the mas cylinder setting off the sensor for the light. Add some fluid...make sure it is dot 3.

your brake fluid is low in the master cylinder because your front pads are worn ( the fluid moves down to fill the space in the calipers.)

replace the pads..

Happened with me before, i`ve filled the brake fluid after 3-4 days i started to hear a BIG noise under heavy braking becuase of my worn pads, inspect the pads if they need to be replaced change them and add some fluid thats all.
