I just traced the wire from the main usdm connector to the wiring loom in the trunk and spliced into that. Non 06 ppl could just trace the wires from the release mechanism in the trunk and there you go.

I have a daytime pix w/o amber turn lit, it's suttle and hard to see when sunlight not shining on it, but shows up nicely when sun is shining on it. Seems as though the red lense housing is a deeper red than the usdm too.
Don't want to jack 'mswc' post here. I will if he doesn't mind, but won't unless it's cool with him.
I was wondering how that would work. Installed the lights, can't decide if I'll go back and do the splice. As it stands, the trunk button no longer works on my 06 coupe.
An additional note, the side marker lights are do not exist on the JDM lights.
Cheers,
Jon

Actually you don't have to take your tail lights out to do the trunk button connection.
You know how they connect with the white main connectors in your trunk. The JDM main white connector has wires to all slots but one (drivers/trunk button side), while the USDM tails use all slots (referring to 2006 model only, don't know about earlier years). It's that one wire on the usdm main trunk connector side that's the trunk button wire.
Splice or connect that one to the JDM colored (blue with yellow stripe) paired wire on the JDM's and the other one (solid blk) in that pair can go to the ground block that's in that area with the two existing black wires that are on that ground block connection.
Hope that didn't sound too confusing. lol.

True the JDM's don't have the side running lights, but the housing and reflectors are there. I debated on retrofitting my jdm tails to accommodate my usdm light sockets to go there and ended up doing that.

Got it, you the man ! Thanks for clarifying that for me. I noticed the difference in the main plugs during the install, didn't know it was that simple.
Instructions are clear, and appreciated-
Regarding the marker lights, I thought about drilling a hole and just swapping out the harness from the USM lights, as the you pointed out the reflector and space for the light appears to be there.
Cheers,
Jon

By the way, just want to say thanks to Riverside, the parts showed up in perfect condition.

Question

Let me ask you JDM tail light owners something specific.

Do the AMBER turn signals stay lit, or do they function as normal turn signals [meaning only lighting up when using the turn signals for changing lanes or Hazard *flashing*]

Just curious, b/c some of the picture of the amber's illuminated looked natural, and not a quick shot of them blinking...

Thanks,
-WoW

That is correct. They illuminate and function just like the USDM ones, except no illuminated side running lights unless you retrofit that.

^ Thanks for that info!!

^ Ok, so no side running lights. Can you not just install the bulb that is already there ??

I'm guessing that there is no HOLE for it to go in ??

Has anyone here already solved this issue ??

Thanks Guys!
