are the new carbon fiber ball bearing joint versions designed for CF hoods?

 

If both mods (the CF hood and the Hood Dampeners) were designed to work with the original hardware, then logically..... I would say of course yes. I don't know for sure of course, but why would you need or want hood dampeners?

 

One thing to remember about hood dampeners too, generally the hood will not open as high. Granted, the hood support gets in the way sometimes, but there are other things, as well as telescopic hood or hatch supports you can use, and locate differently if you are working on a part of the engine where the regular support keeps getting in the way. Other than looking cool, it is not the ultimate solution IMO.
