Just get it fully warmed up, maybe a sprint on the freeway, when you do drive it. It should be fine.

Also I would let it run for 10 mins once a week or something.

A few weeks isn't very long is the scheme of things......Your gas will get a little stale but not so as you'd notice.....

yea i'm worried about the same thing... havn't seen my car in like a month.. from dec 20 to tomorrow night. i forgot to put fuel stabilizer in there with a full tank, so i don't know if my fuel will be ok? it should be ok for a little less than a month right? i'm going to put in octane booster when i get to see my car... i also filled my tires to 39 psi, and didn't disconnect the battery. can't wait to see her again!!!

ok i'll play the devils advocate...

after returning from my 9 day vacation, i went to start my g, it cranked, and revved a little higher than usual, made a strange noise, slip, vdc off, and service engine soon lights came on, car refused to accelerate past 1k rpm. had it towed to the dealer, and it turns out that the throttle body was shot. got it replaced under warranty. car was running fine before i went on vacation. i don't know if it was a coincidence.

i find if u let the car sit for a few days to rest...it actually feels better when u drive it again. Maybe something with heat and the lubricants breaking down??

Yes coincidence...... -- I've never had anything like that happen just because of storage ..

This is a common TSB issue... I had mine replaced too

I've stored mine for 4 months straight during the winter each of the past 2 years. Never had any problems.. but I did do a ton of prep work by flushing most of the fluids, cleaning out the whole car, washing/waxing, battery removal, car cover and tire pressure up high, plus e-brake off with car in neutral and wheel chocks applied, as well as fuel stabilizer in a full tank of fuel, plus new oil and filter.

Your main concern would be the battery.... which should be removed or put on a tricle charger, or at least charged up to capacity every 2 weeks. Other than that, just make sure you're oil isn't really old if the car will be sitting.. or it might contribute to the buildup of deposits in the engine. It's also not a bad idea to flush and change your coolant if it's real old.

I say don't worry. I too seldom drive mine in winter. Gasoline these days far less likely to detiorate and varnish things up.

Also, I have a 95 Triumph Daytona that basically sits in an unheated garage all winter.I end up starting it about once every 6 weeks. E very year I think about adding Stabil but never do! It runs great and never has a problem.

I would add that I am a huge believer in Synoil and think it's molecular structure lends itself to protection of metals during storage periods.

BTW, I drive a piece o' crap 03 Cavalier all winter (except on nice wekends)..... really makes one appreciate his "G"! ........ Though I do like the 35 MPG!
