http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/01/10/2007-nissan-350z for a ton of pics.

For all you Nissan n00bs, the hood is a heritage design they yanked from the original Datsun 240Z (although they avoid mentioning I believe on purpose).

School up on your history homies!

Actually the hood serves quite a powerful purpose. The new 2007 Z has the new VQ35HR, no longer the Rev-Up VQ35DE, in which the plenum sits a tad bit taller in the engine compartment, therefore the new hood. If you ask me, I think this new hood is sick and makes the car look meaner and 100% JDM Muscle. Currently the 07 Sedans which also have this motor, are running 13.7's, mind you its a 4 door sedan. This new motor is in the new 07 Z. Twin intakes, dual throttle bodies, equal length tube headers, and basically 80% redesigned motor, for those that dont know.

The new 350Z is going to haul.

The 08 coupe will be without a doubt faster than the Z's. Expect the VQ37 to make debut in the 08 coupe. Someone has to compete with the 335i, and for the price, the next gen G Coupe will come thru.

I hope your right...

If the 08 Coupe is faster than the current 335i, I think we'll have a clear winner again.

I love it

I love the 350z. I think it's an awesome car. Fun to drive.

The only things that bother me:

I can't stand the amber guages.

I wish the car had more usable trunk room.

But I still love this car.

I don't understand why everyone (mostly on the Z sites) is hating the hood bulge.

I think that looks badass!

Are you especulating or did you get your facts from somewhere??? If you got your facts from somewhere can you post a link? It sounds very interesting.

I highly doubt that will be the case. The investment to make a G35 that beats the 335i will be too great to make it come out at anywhere close to current MSRP. I really hope I am wrong though.

The new Z looks too similar to the old one. The new Z is only making 311 bhp, which sucks for the new G because rumors had it that the power of the new G would be around 330 bhp
