6mt Stalling issues
Is it me, or do you guys stall every once in a while out of pure lazyness or lack of concentrating. Sometimes i just stall leaving my garage in the morning, or ill switch into reverse and stall here and there. I dont stall much but maybe a couple times every month. Do you 6mt'ers still stall every once in a while or do i just need to start driving a little better.
I also get a lot of people saying i need to learn how to drive stick better because they feel the shifts so much. The only way ive found to keep the car from jolting is when i change gears at or a little under 2300-2500 rpm (mainly for gears 1 and 2, after 3 you dont feel the shifts much). I know im good at driving it, i got better times at the track then most of the g35s that have ever ran at LACR stock. Just dont like people thinking i dont drive stick, and im still inexperienced. What do you guys think?

try that. it moves the pedal down further so you arne't so high when it finally catches. it WILL NOT harm your clutch as long as you adjust the clutch so it's not pulling (in gear) with the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. it is only a pedal height adjustment but makes the world of difference.

Ride in someone's G35 who roadraces a ton and you will see that despite thinking you are proficient with a stick, you can learn A LOT more.
If you don't yet know how to heel-toe downshift then you still have a long way to go because mastering just that takes long enough.

My point is about becoming proficient at driving stick. If you have enough skill to heel-toe properly and your rev matching is spot on then you will have ZERO trouble driving this car smoothly.
Please read and understand before trying to make me out to be some dumbass.

thanks for the info boys makes me feel a little better about my driving. I still don't know if i know how to do a heel toe or not no one has ever showed me in person. Second i probably will go to the dealership and have them lower my clutch engagement point, that will make life alot easier. and probably increase 1/4 mile as well.

Why does everyone think heel-toe is like the be all and end all of mastering a clutch? Its just one technique in a vast number of things to learn if you truely want to learn to drive stick to its potential... however... there are many people out there better at up and down shifting than you, even if you can heel toe.... Seriously, being able to heel toe is not that big of a deal....
