My car was at SEMA, CES and it will be featured in a few different magazines. Also I've built several Demo cars for Pioneer, Eclipse, Boston Acoustics, Crossfire etc.. that have all received magazine coverage. At this point I have the contacts, experience and or reputation do get good sponsor participation.
For those that are trying to get sposored, the first thing you will need is a proposal that outlines what you are planning to do with the car, lists current sponsors, outlines your past projects (if any) and references.
Be professional and realistic about your chances. Empty promises burn bridges and that is NOT a good thing.

Good luck to you.

Very nicely written.Great advice for those looking at sponsorship

By the way I think you and I were the 1st 06's that were done by Vortech, yours being the 5AT and mine 6mt

Great info, thanks Chris, sounds like a full time job to just fulfill sponsor commitments. I need to graduate first and start a company that relates to this field.
