Its true that u could go turbo or SC for the kind of money involved in modding a BMW but u have to consider the fact that if u buy a 335i 6spd u can take it to a good tune shop drop 2g's max on a good tunner and u'll be at the hp #'s a FI G w/ stock motor puts out... it doesnt compare... u can never compare N/A with Stock Turbo... a simple boost controller can own any bolt on we get.

MSRP for a G35 6mt coupe is about $39k, rougly $6k for forced induction, then you'd have to upgrade your clutch to handle the additional HP, say $1000 for ACT clutch and flywheel. That's not including labor and tuning. Thats not even upgradeing the cat back. And if you do so, to complement the forced On top of that, thats anywhere between $500-$1200. you've basically kiss your powertrain and drivetrain warranty goodbye...just so you can keep up or surpass the 335i coupe. $$$ saved?
or, you could buy a 335i coupe for $43k, and still have warranty and your scheduled services covered. and to mod it, $1300 for xede, $1200 for for an Agency Power exhaust and, anywhere between $500-$1000 for a tuning session. Simply unplug the xede, unbolt the exhaust system and put back the stock system...and take it in for service.
But hey, anything's possible when you got money.

Anyways, I don't understand why people still say this crap about G35 Coupe keeping up with the 335i, unless you're FI you aren't gonna keep up with even a stock 335i in a 03-06 G35 Coupe, period. End of subject. I'll keep my $8k and I'll keep my slower 1/4mi & 0-60 times. I'm not going to pretend that my Coupe will keep up with the 335i. We'll just have to wait and see what 08 has in store for Infiniti to compete with BMW's new 335i.
Oh and about unplugging the Xede and putting the stock Exhaust back on, who wants to do that every time they need to take the car in for service? What if you're engine has a malfunction and you need to send your car in RIGHT AWAY. Who is gonna have time to take everything back to stock before sending the car to BMW? Most people won't.

New car against New car yes the g35c is a better deal but i'm not sure how much a used 335i will be in a couple months but i'm assuming it would be as much if not close to a new g35c. So its just something to really consider when buying a car. E46 m3s with 30-35k miles are anywhere from 30,000-35,000ish on craigslist. I honestly would take a used 335i with ~15-20k miles over a new g35c.

Well you'd have to be shopping a USED G35 Coupe if you're shopping a USED 335i. Its not a fair comparison. Also, I'd be careful about buying a used 335i/M3 because they are very much performance oriented cars and most likely driven hard and abused. If I were buying a 335i/M3 I'd only go New at this point. We'll have to see how the 335i's hold up after 1 year.
Also with BMW's resale values, don't expect to find a 1 year old 335i for the price of a new G, equally equipped. BMW's 335i's most likely will not depreciate much first year or two.

From what I was told, the exed is completely p-n-p; so easy on...easy off. and the exhaust system is a hell of a lot easier to r&r than a complete turbo system in any given car.
true, most people wont. but people like me...would...just so that I wont have to pay an arm and a leg on certain items and have the resources to do so.
