Traction Control Problems
Hey guys,
I think I am having a problem with my traction control...it's not working. Today, I pulled out of the drive-through onto the road, I was in 1st, and I let it hook up and accelerated until about 2K rpm. Then I flat out punched it and the rear wheels spun like crazy (I forgot that it was still kind of wet outside)...traction control light didn't go on and the wheels just spun like crazy. I clearly remember that the traction control is supposed to be really quick to catch you and is really interfering. It used to cut off my power whenever I got wheelspin going from 1st to 2nd, but now I don't think it even cuts me off there anymore. And now after today, I am almost positive my traction control just isn't working!
Can anybody offer their experiences with traction control?? Maybe it's working and I don't realize it, or maybe it has some kind of threshold that I am not used to? When my wheels were spinning today, the traction control light didn't blink at all (at least I don't think it is) and the power wasn't cut off.
Thanks!

Re: Traction Control Problems
With spinning like that, and the VDC left on, that slip light should blink and your power evaporate for sure. You may have blown a fuse/link. look in the fuse box in the batt compartment. You'll have to take off the batt cover to do this.

Re: Traction Control Problems
Would it actually be something as simple as a blown fuse? If it matters at all, if I push the traction control button it says VDC OFF or whatever, just the way it's supposed to. I take my car in soon for the first 3,750 mile service, so I will have the dealership look at it. Thanks for the info.
