OK, that's twice you guys said "that a deer hit you". I believe you hit the deer!

The only two encounter I had was when I went camping, a hole family of deers were in the road. I was going up the mountain road and went around the bend and then...BAMBI and family! Well, I can only go so fast up a mountain road in Cali and it was around a bend so I was going pretty slow. I stopped, yelled, honked my horn and they wouldn't move! So, I had to get out and started jumping up and down and then the went away. Dumb deers!

And finally, I was driving on highway 395 in Cali (main stretch for Mammoth and the Sierra Nevada mountains) and there was a cow in the road! I mean, this thing was huge! If any on you know the 395, most are doing 90-100 on that road. Luckily, it was during the day and the cars ahead of me were already slowing down so most avoided it, but damn cows!

no deers here!!

Wrong. I have hit deers in Moraga, and Hayward and I had a close call in Concord with an Elk once. The Elks have since been relocated, but there are many many deer in Northern California.

I'll agree. Although my repairs didn't cost that much it would have still gotten a sence of closure if I knew the deer that hit me died. Unfortunatly I doubt it did.

I know a chick who hit a deer in her IS300, totalled her car haha was pictures, jesus! I've almost hit a few deers down here around Tampa, FL, they only come out at night and you see them just sprint across the roads.. its intense.

I get more collisions with rodents though, stupid moles and armadillos that decide to wander into the road.. BAM.

Sorry to hear about these stories "human versus deer" or "deer versus human
". I live in Central California and once time, there was a piece of 2x4 wood on the highway that came straight to my head light! Since everyone were in the group of high speed on this two lanes highways, I couldnt' able to avoid it-cars in front, left and back, the right side is some sort of river!! It knocked good at my headlight and my right side bumper!! From now on, if I ever see any debris on the street, I always stop and throw it away from the main road..in the safest way, surely dont want me or my ride get hit by someone others! LOL

one time in college, i was at the park late one night with these girl. we were just hanging out talking and stuff, and all of a sudden this truck zooms by. some drunk frat guys are hanging out of it screaming and yelling about something. there are white feathers all over the grill.

see, this park had a lot of ducks. and the frat boys were out for blood. in the back of the truck they had piled the ducks up that they had got so far. many had the same type of burnout wounds that jersey g inflicts on his friends.

i called the 1time and reported it.

Damn, that sucks.

Hopefully you find a good cheap estimate for the repairs.

On a side note, can I see some pics of the deer, if by any chance you happened to find him?
