Yet another "fast loaner" impression

I saw posts of that kind several times already and today I got a chance to experience that myself for the first time. Tonight I dropped off my 5AT coupe for the first maintenance (at 3500 miles) and got a sedan with 16500 miles on the clock as a loaner. Well, it maybe just a different perception but the loaner feels quicker than my coupe and it even shifts smoother. Is it really that common? Should I expect to see any changes in the behavior of my car as it gets more miles?

To me the loaner shifts alot smoother but no way it feels faster than my car

I would think it feels faster because you dont hear the engine/exhaust like you do in the coupes. I dunno... thats what I think

when u get ur car back, let that bitch run hard and i will guarantee the loaner will not feel faster next time u take it in for maintenance .

O yea sedans are faster regardless.

The sedan only feels faster because you're probably beating the thing like a trailer trash wife.

I thought the Sedan felt pretty quick too when I got a loaner... but then when I stepped back into my coupe and got on it, everything cleared up.... and I loved my car even more than before.

sedans are faster because they are lighter. Same engine, less weight=faster

the loaners always "feel" faster cause they get ran hard all the time.

All loaners have a Turbo sticker under the hood.

loaners are faster cause it is always missing parts from people taking them instead of buying replacement, thus making it lighter.....duh!
