You need that 'code' to know what part of the monitored system is at fault.
The Infiniti dealer will do this for you but will charge you if it's a non-warranty problem.
An alternative for the home mechanic is to buy a portable scanner.
They can be had for little more than the cost of a dealer scan but will last a long time and pay for itself many times over.
I have this one in the link:

C.
i just came back from auto zone..the guy scan it for me for free...
he told me the codes are bank 1 and 2, problem is im running too LEAD?
he said it might be the 02 sensor so he clear out my code and told me to go back if it happens again...... so...is it my testpipe?but the testpipe is on my car for 1-2months now..its my 1st time having this problem.
or it could be something else?
do u think the dealer will do anything with my car with all these mod in it?...
...i dont think the dealer near me would.

It is more then likely your O2 sensors are the problem. I have the similar probelm on my 2000 Maxima recently. If your s car still drive ok and no chocking with the SES light on then it will be it. The other time the SES light up on me is becasue of one of the ignition coil gone bad but you can telll right the way the car do drive right and it idle very rough.

More then likely O2 Sensor. You said the pipes have been on for 1 - 2 months, has there been a sudden weather change? Mine do the same, it comes and goes as it pleases... you can probably get foulers to correct it, but it all depends on how big of a deal it is to you [with the light in your eyes]. And to think about it, the 03's had more trouble with with installing test pipes and getting a code then older models.
Keep driving it around, if it comes back on do some searching on how to trick the sensor. I know there is a cheaper way of keeping the sensor in check with a 50 cent resistor to keep the readings in a certain range - but I don't know which one it is.
