Go with InSaneAmine. He's a Z fanatic! Oh yeah, we've got Gs!

All kidding aside, since I produce GroundingGear™, I admit I'm a bit biased. If you want to know why I use solid copper terminals rather than gold, see theHyper-Ground FAQ Thread. Gold terminals are less prone to oxidation, however as the gold layer is only a few thousandths thick, conduction occurs only in this layer due to high frequency skin effect. I also believe that just as important if not more so in the long term, is sealing the copper strands of the cable itself against oxidation. The gold terminals that I've seen simply don't allow you to easily do that. I've done a fair amount of research into H-G kits and I've tried to utilize information that the Electrical Engineers with whom I consulted related to me. But as I said, I'm biased so you'll have to take this into consideration.

If I decided that gold terminals or certain colours was of prime importance, I'd buy InSaneAmine's kit as I know he uses quality components, and I frequently refer ppl to him since I only do limited numbers for forum members. BTW, my advice is to stay away from some of the cheap kits ppl are banging out of their basements and being sold on E-Bay by ppl trying to cash in on this whole thing. The quality can be variable as are the results on your car. If they can't tell you the brand of "oxygen-free" cable they use, it's usually because it's made in the Far East. Also the cheapest 'gold' terminals are just that- cheap. The quality ones can cost almost as much as the cheap kits are selling for! But that said, some have reported satisfaction with cheaper kits. Some go with the big name commercial kits for MUCH more money as they feel more comfortable with a major brand name.

Bottom line, you've got to figure out what's important to you as all kits will add a 'cool' factor under your hood, but not all will perform the same.

Re: which ground kit???

I "highly" recommend Insanamine's ground kit. His is "just" like the Nissan kit that is available in Japan. He was the first to make a kit and from what I have seen; his is of the highest quality. He has 5, 6 or 7 wire kits available, and in about any color you could ever want. Plus I heard he has a holiday special for a free Crawford plenum.

His site is www.z-extreme.com

No, actually I believe in and only use solid copper terminals on GroundingGear™. PM me if you want details or pricing. Because of the winter season (it's too damn cold to do assessments on other cars here in Edmonton), I now have a bit more time to do some forum member GroundingGear™ kits which I normally limit availability.

Yes, InSaneAmine is doing a draw for all his past and present customers at the moment for a Crawford Plenum. So if you want gold terminals, check him out.

Re: which ground kit???

I started to make grounding kits for the local guys. I at first went w/ copper lugs like gordgee uses, then switched to gold plated. I don't like the gold plated at all. They are very hard to crimp, and I've since switched back to copper lugs.

Insaneanime & gordgee both make great kits! me too!
