If you're getting the car from the dealerships and you have plenty of original warranty left, I would not worry about the oil consumption. I bought my '04 used with 7.5k miles and with warranty, after almost 2 years and now at 38k miles, the dealer just realized I'm burning oil and had replaced my engine. Picking the car up tomorrow. They also changed my flywheel and other things, so I can't wait to see if it feels different.

 

I droped my car off to day at the stealership!!
They called me back and said its a engine problem and they need to pull it apart to find the problems. I have to pay 8 to 10 hours shop time to havew them send in pictures etc.
they think its a ring problem. Now they want to check to see if the exhaust Header and Intake I put on Increased the HP to cause my problems. WTF??
What are they looking for? and I have never heard of these mods to cause such failures. Any help
