you shouldn't have needed to even think about this. Civic all the way. For one, if you wreck the civic who cars, it's a civic. Two, FF cars have better traction in the rain and snow. 3. The civic probably has more lugage room.

If rears are good on the civic, i'd move them up front real quick...easy to do and should be done anyways IMO. On fwd, I always like the best tires up front...

yeah do that i took my coupe to new mexico in snow not a very smart idea

i say switch the rears of the civic to the front and you'll be good to go

for the difference in gas you could probably get 2 new tires for the civic. and its your girls car so you could make her drive.

if there's salt on the roads (and they're probably will be) then it will mess up your G's undercarriage. or any car's undercarriage, for that matter.

but for safety, I'd say take the G over the civic. these guys are right, civic will have a hard time towing you, your luggage, and your boards up hills/mountains.

but this is jmo.

Ideally, buy new tires for the Civic. If not, rotate the tires front to rear and bring chains. RWD even with good tires won't be fun in any real snow or ice...
