AT Tranny probs after Dead Battery?????

My brothers 2003 G had dead battery(click, click, click kind of dead....a lil juice left but not enough to start) saturday morn, we jumped it and took a 60 mile trip. no probs.

But sunday he was driving it and it wouldnt shift right. sometimes it would, other times it just keep reving up. so he tried manual mode and same thing, wouldnt shift even when he told it to. No clunking or crazy noises just wouldnt shift. Also, digital display on tach wasnt showing anything...

So i thought it seems more computer/electrical based, instead of mechanical...

So i told him to disconnect battery from car last night, overnight and re-try it today. He says prob seems to be gone now today....

Q:
Anyone had this same/similiar problem?
Am I right to think his computer needed to be reset, and prob should be solved now?

Sorry this post sloppy, in rush to leave for my office....

Thanks for any info...

Maybe it won't shift because it senses a lot of IMPATIENCE in the car.

TBS would create that kind of shifting error? And lack of electronic display on the dashboard?

most newer vehicles are very voltage sensitive..a low current situation like a battery about dead or non functioning altinator can cause many malfunctions. poor shifting, turn signals not working , poor idle, surging at speed ect.ect.ect....after fixing the problem sometimes it takes some miles or run time for e.c.m.'s to re-learn and function properly.....hope this helps
