too lean

how bad is it for your engine if your engine is running too lean (lean enough that the "service engine soon" light is on)?

does it require immediate attention? or will it affect the longevity of the engine

thanks in advance for any response

Well it depends how lean you are running. IMHO i would get it checked out as soon as you can. I blew the motor on my supra because it was running to lean. The tuner tuned it way to lean to squeeze out more HP. Better safe than sorry. Learned that one the hard way.

My question is how do you know your engine is running "lean"? If it's running THAT lean that is causes a CEL (most likely for a cylinder misfire/injector misfire), then yes, that's dangerous.

So what makes you think your engine is running lean?

what are my options to fix this problem? i'm sure a reflash by technosquare would do the trick...what are some other options?

lean, meaning the air/fuel mixture has too much air compared to the fuel

Get rid of the MD spacer if you have one.
