I got the premium option and sports package in black. I have a couple of questions. I would like to tint my windows and will do it from the dealer but I don't know how much to tint. Does anyone have pics where it shows the different levels? Also can I get the spoiler from dealership and not get the aero kit? I would like to get the black emblem kit as well but will it look good on a black g35? After I learn to drive stick can I change my 5at to a 6mt? One last question is do you recommend doing the wax at a car wash or doing it yourself. I'm a first time car owner so I don't know too much about cars. Thanks a lot

 

I can't convert from auto to stick? Then I guess I shouldn't put accesories on my car then such as spoiler or emblem kit. I was planning on getting brembo brakes too but I should keep my car just stock if I want to get a stick down the line.

 

You can change your transmission out... I'm pretty sure... only problem I see is the ECU but it can be done nonetheless. I know chebesto knows of a couple people that have done maxima AT --> 6mt changes. Probably a bit pricey but should be an interesting project. I must say though that I know many cars can be converted from AT to MT but just not sure the level of difficulty with the G. Hope this helps....

 

You can get your emblems black, tints and the spoiler from the dealership but I think everyone here at the forum would agree to have it done somewhere else and not at the dealer. You would save about 75% if you went with the aftermarket products. Last time I checked the dealer wanted 900 dollars for the spoiler, I got it for 190 dollars on eBay, same exact spoiler but mine was aftermarket. Dealers will also rip you off on tints, My dealer wanted to charge me $600 for tints, I got it done for $125 some where else.
As for the emblem kit, I haven't done it myself so I can't give you any advise, but I think all you need is a blow dryer, some dental floss and some high resistance paint, but I'm sure someone has done it here on the forum. If you don't mind paying a lot then the dealership is fine and they do a great job but if you decide to go aftermarket then your wallet will thank you, Heres my G with 5% tints, Its really awesome but at night its kind of a pain to drive with. Even if you could convert your AT to MT, you'd be better off trading in your car for a MT. It'd be almost that expensive anyway, and there's no way in hell I'd buy a "converted MT" car off someone in the used market, so I'd imagine you'd kill your resale, which also costs you money. More people want to buy ATs anyway. I say plan on buying another car if you want a stick.

Don't buy anything from the dealer.I blacked out everything at a friends body shop along with a spoiler from ebay and lightly tinted the front.There's an old thread w/my blk on blk auto coupe under "blacked out everything"

Thanks for the reply guys. I don't think getting a manual would be a good idea because I do a lot of city driving and it can be a pain to constantly shift gears and anyone who lives in the la area knows what the freeways are like during rush hour. So I'll stay with my beautiful baby and give it a maybe a 30 percent tint and a spoiler. Thanks guys

 

don't worry about the transmission man... just have fun with the mods. More than likely, you'll get another car down the road and it may even be better than the G (flame suit on).
