Exclamation ATTENTION: All G Owners

Just wanted to put it out there and see if there are any other who are with me on this. In December I was driving one night, happened to look down, drifting across the white line on the edge of the road, and hit a bump! When I hit the bump off the edge of the road, my passenger side curtain and side airbags deployed, scaring the crap out of me, making me lose control of the vehicle. I then proceeded to cut right thru a telephone pole @ 60 mph, then regain control of the vehicle and bring it to a stop. When hitting the pole at 60 mpg, neither front airbags deployed. Now this worrys me, if it had been any other situation, I might not have walked away like I did with only a sore wrist. Don't get me wrong though, I do love the car and I even plan on getting another G35 coupe, but I want to know if this is a malfunction with the vehicle that others have had. Here are some clickable thumbs of my car after the accident...the day after. Beware, very sad images below.......

I agree. A product malfunction caused the wreck and they should give you another car.

Hitting the bump? That must have been one serous bump. However airbags are developed for speeds around 30mph. I think most are set to not blow above 35. Don't quote me on this, thats just what I remember reading somewhere.

Maybe you should get some real legal advise on this subject and report back to us.

Wouldn't it be pretty hard to prove the airbag went off before hitting the pole. Wont they claim it deployed after hitting the pole

I just hope you don't live in a contributory negligence State. That post does not help any potential suit.

With that said, you should have no problem finding a lawyer to take your case.

I’ll give you some free advice. Don’t say (and certainly don’t write) anything else to anyone (cops, insurance, G35 Driver, etc...) before you talk to a lawyer.

Don't our cars have some sort of black box on them? I thought I read somewhere that the car keeps memory of certain things for a finite period of time. But this is only a vague memory, and it definatly wasn't like something on an airplane.
