Yes, that is a base model. The premium package, aero package and other misc things add up.

Who gets the base model, i guess i consider mine base b/c i have no Navi ? My point was i see people talking about the car like it's high and mighty. Like you are special to have a G, i feel anyone can afford. That was the only point i was making. But i guess more goes into a car than price. I mean this car eats alive the 335i T and cost 10g's less right?

Maybe i was wrong in knocking the G

Uh, people who don't care about the options maybe???

Back when I bought a brand new C5 vette was in 2000. I got the base model not because it was the cheapest, but because it made most sense to me.

You see, in 2000 there were 3 types of vettes you could buy. A coupe with a hatchback and targa top, a convertible, and a coupe with a fixed roof and a trunk.

It just so happened that the cheapest model was the fixed roof coupe. But the funny thing is that it was the lighest model out, only came with the manual transmission, only came with the z51 suspension, and was the car that GM decided to turn into the Z06. In effect it was the best performing vette they had made to date but was still the least expensive in the lineup!

So as you can see, people may have many different reasons for buying a 'base' model. Price doesn't always = quality or capabiliy

The only way to get a brand new Infiniti G35 Coupe for $33K is if you place an ORDER at the dealership for spoiler delete, sunroof delete, no splash guards/ aero kit etc. The premium package automatically bumps the price to roughly $37K-$38K give or take. Then with navigation added your paying around $40K. The odds of walking up to a Infiniti dealership and thinking your gonna get an Infiniti G35 coupe off the lot for $33K out the door. Is the same thing as trying to get a BMW 335I at $38K. No chance in h*ll!!
