This was all over the mr2 board a while back, the owners wanted all the video's taken down from what i remember becasue i think they were trying to get insurance to cover the damages.

I still dont see why they're parked so close to the track...

 

hard to tell what happened if they were parked that close to the track there own dumb fault

 

I think they were getting ready to come out on the track and it looks like car ahead of him started slowing down and he tried to get out of the way or something. Pretty messed up.

 

Way back when this happened the link for that was spread out over several forums here and it was decided to delete the threads. There were close up stills posted also showing the damage done. The owner of the G was a member on here also.

The cars were parked off to the side waiting for their turn to get onto the track after the ones that were on the track were finished taking their last lap of which what you saw. Cars are parked like that all the time without insodent.

The driver of the EVO was just taking his car past his and maybe his cars's abilities which the Pocono instructors tell you not to do all the time. That was a Pocono instructor in the passenger seat in the car taking the video.

About 18 of us from here and my350 ran a bunch of laps at the track in the summer of '05 and had no problems. Only restriction we had was Do Not Pass. All went well.

yeah, never park that close to the track. what the hell are those organizer of the events thinking?

reminds me of button willow, where they installed a concrete wall near the area where a lot of people spin out of control..... why the F would they do that? it would be a lot safer is there were no walls and all who run out of control would just run into the OPEN desert... a wall right there is just asking for it... feel sorry for the 4+ cars that hit that wall the day i went.. 2 m3's, 1 sti and 1 mustang.
