Hi, I have been reading this forum for a long time and it is a great resource. Today I finally got my G35. Black on Tan 03 5AT coupe. Pretty much fully loaded with nav. I love it so much and all I want to do is drive now. When I got it the brakes were squeaking a little bit. They were recently replaced and it has been pretty cold. Is this normal?

by Recently replaced u mean new pads, cut rotors etc ?
if thats the case and the pads have plenty meat on them, u should be ok.
How many miles on it, and whered u get it from. If u bought it from a dealer, then they cant sell you shot brakes (i should hope not) and squeaking a lil bit is no problemo

 

I get squeaking too... I had my brakes looked at and they told me I have 50% pad left... then I found out that it is normal to have the squeak. Weird...

 

Congrats on your new car!! There's a lot of info about the '03 5AT front brakes on here. Infiniti even extended the brake warranty or them. I got mine replaced for free at 3 yrs and 34000miles, just under the 36k limit. They squeaked 2 days later. Sorry, but even if the pads are good it's a common problem for us.

mine started squeaking about a week after i got it. brand new pads and rotors from the dealership. oddly, they stopped squeaking now.
