month in ImportTuner mag........check this out with the MREV2, 5/16"
spacer and a cold air intake boosted HP +21.3 and TQ +29.8 lbs at a cost
of $1150.75 (you can do better price wise) This kinda increase is almost
unheard of for the $..........And this tested '06 didn't have an exhaust
system which will only improve the output! Read the article March issue.
thanks for that info!!!
i hate buying stuff on hearsay & most of the time we have no choice but to do that, when it comes to performance parts

I bought the mag over the weekend ...like 5 or 6 detailed pages on our motor + MREV2, lower collector & air-intake, testing seperately & together pros vs cons ...including dyno sheets.
did u see, i think next issue there going to further test this set-up by adding an exhaust?

did you have a problem with the car running lean? i have heard this with the non-revup motors. i didn't want to do that to mine before i get the utec and mess it up.

Hey Hydrazine. I have always wondered your opinion... Crawford cast plenum on top of an Mrev2 on a turbo car. I have all the above minus the Mrev2? Is all that compatible?

No. But if you have a REVUP engine, the MREV2 will make big gains.

OK, I've read alot about the MREV and MREV2 after they came out. So, tell me the difference between the two? Also, what is the possible gain if you put the MREV2 on a Non-Revup Engine vs. a Revup engine? In the beginning when you first introduced the MREV, I remember reading that the MREV wouldn't make much of an improvement in the Non-REVUP engine (well, much of an improvement vs. the REVUP Engine). So, in the end, adding the MREV2 on a Non-Revup and Revup engine will make both produce about equal HP and TQ? Not the gains, but the final HP and TQ right? I know the Revup started with more HP but less TQ, so I just wanted to know how the MREV2 makes both equal (or about equal) once both is installed. Seems counter intuitive

MREV is just a OEM nonrevup lower plenum, while MREV2 is a modified lower plenum with some porting work to even up the volume on the front 2 runners. You will see gains with an MREV or MREV2 on a REVUP motor, with the MREV2 having more gains. For a nonREVUP motor, the MREV2 can be added for some additional gains, but not as much as the difference on a REVUP motor
