MREV2 vs OEM non revup lower collector

I like to install the MREV2 plus 5/16" spacer on my 06 revup 6mt coupe. I notice the oem non revup lower collector is about $200 cheaper then the MREV2. If I go with the OEM lower collector and 5/16 spacer, it there any power difference if I go with MREV2 and 5/16 spacer? Thanks if anyone can help.

yes...defeats whole purpose of the mrev...stop being cheap, if you want the power you gotta pay to play.

Cant speak for Motordyne but the port n polish aspect may give
you added advantages or everyone would be doing it

I will say you will love the difference it makes and combine that
with some exhaust work ..look out

MREV2 and spacer..........!

There's a bunch of companys on the market making wanttobe go fast parts
for our G35s. But if your smart you'll go with the tried/true/tested parts
that will improve your cars performance. The MREV2 was tested just this
month in ImportTuner mag........check this out with the MREV2, 5/16"
spacer and a cold air intake boosted HP +21.3 and TQ +29.8 lbs at a cost
of $1150.75 (you can do better price wise) This kinda increase is almost
unheard of for the $..........And this tested '06 didn't have an exhaust
system which will only improve the output! Read the article March issue.

Hi Guys,

YES, the MREV2 modifications made to the stock lower collector makes gains at high RPM with or without the spacer. (On the REVUP or the NON-REVUP engine.)

yea thats what i always thought... u need to retune before adding a spacer or new upper plenum to the mrev2 on the non rev-up engine first tho right?

No, not always. Most of the time it isn't needed but sometimes it may be.

This is due to car to car variation of the A/F ratio.

Why save $200 now versus having it done the best way in the first place. I have a '04 Non-rev and installed the MREV2 and spacer. I felt the difference in performance and love it. You will not regret spending the extra money.

thanks for the info, I just wanted to see what people think OEM vs MREV2 lower collector. This has nothing to with being cheap.
