2.) Told me I needed to have the radiator flushed, because the coolant was old/dirty. I told them to check the service records, where they'll notice the radiator was replaced ~ 2 months prior. I asked if replacing the radiator requires changing the coolant.... They had nothing to say, except "I'll ask the master mechanic why he recommended this"
* Note * All of the following happened on the same visit....
3.) They told me that I needed to flush the transmission, because the fluid smelled dirty/burnt. They said that because I "failed to properly maintain the tranny" by flushing it, the warranty was void, and that they couldn't do anything about my tranny which self-destructed. (Hence why I'm at the dealer) However, I just had the tranny serviced because of a recall a few weeks prior, so I asked them to lookup in their service records what was done, because I remember the itemized list, showing that the fluid was flushed.... I also asked them to show me where in the owners manual/maintenence book, it shows that not flushing your tranny fluid before 32,000 miles voids your warranty....
4.) So then they said, I never had the dealer perform any service work, and that if I didn't have the dealer perform regular maintenence it would void the warranty, so I pointed out that the maintenence book doesn't explicity say that, and it even says you can do it yourself. (In fact I pointed out that the language the warranty/maintence/owners manual used, it wasn't even an explicit requirement to do the items listed in the maintenece guide)... Needless to say, they reinstated my warranty, and replaced my tranny free of charge.
5.) When talking about flushing, the dealer said that you need special equipment to flush the tranny, that only the dealer has... So then I pointed out that I have the Acura Service Manuals, and would like them to show me where it describes this "special equipment". So then they said that it would merely be "more convenient" if the dealer did it........

Actually he may be right. There's an airbag sensor located in your dash and if you're not careful, you can trip the sensor causing your airbag light to flash. When'd you install the aftermarket radio and who installed it?
Anywhos...reset the airbag yourself next time.
