Need opinions!!

So i have an 03 ivory white coupe, have 20" chrome rims, with a nice lip on them...i got some curb rash a couple weeks back and brought them to a local wheel place to get them looked at...while there i came up with an idea, but i just wanted to hear some opinions...Im going to powdercoat the inner part of my rim the same color as my car...they can match it perfect with the pearlescent and flake, all i have to do is get them a quart of the paint. Keep the inner part powdercoated but make the rivets, center cap and lip, polished...how do you think that would look? Im attaching a pic of my car/rims...they told me $235 a wheel and would be done in a week. Does anyone have a pic of a polished lip w/ powdercoated inside?

They may have told you that they can match it, but matching powdercoat is always a gamble. If you're going to powdercoat them, I say do it in a contrasting color, i.e. black or gunmetal.

^ wouldnt PC my wheels white especially just the lip of it. Would need a pic of the whole car to see how it would flow, unless its mostly stock.

Ever think about going bronze? well black or gunmetal are always an option too.

THey are going to powercoat it the same color, i have to bring them a quart of my paint so its going to match exactly...the lip wont be powdercoated...just the inner part(spokes), the lip will be polished.

Well, if you do it, send me a message in a few months. I want to know how the match is/isn't.

the whole paint match is a big concern of mine, thats when he told me as long as i bring him my exact paint from a bodyshop or dealership, it will match perfectly...saying its gonna be exact, how do you think its going to look? I know the hottest thing right now is color matched wheels with the lips chrome or polished....i just want something different than everyone elses G in my area.

In the end, your opinion is the only one that matters.

Sooooo, if you just want to be different, powdercoat them powder blue or hot pink. Then, NO ONE in the entire country would have them, let alone anyone in your area.

how do you figure? the paint/powdercoat is going to match exactly and then the lip will be polished.

We're just giving you OUR opinions. So, that's the "how do you figure".

I sort of take that as an insult. Any suggestion that anyone in this thread, including myself, has no class, is actually humorous. We HAVE given you "classy" and tasteful suggestions. You're obviously looking for someone to confirm that your idea is a good one. In that case, it would look good. Go for it.
