the added power doesn't overcome the exponential increase in drag and lack of traction. It's no add and subtract in drag times, it's more like a diminishing returns graph...it gets exponentially harder to shed seconds and even decimals.

come on guys... true putting it to the ground will be the key and driver will be a factor. But to put everything in perspective a good driver can get this car to low 12's or high 11's on slick. Alberto who just had 400WHP/401TQ got his car (350Z) to run 11.9 so a 500WHP can definitely get you to low 12's or even 11's. You have to suck in Drag if you can only hit mid 13's on slick with 500whp.

again, it was on slicks and the bolt on auto was on street tires.

I realize that its harder to shed seconds when you get to those speeds, but comparable cars with same weight and similar hp run much faster times.

I dont know about you guys, but i'd be pretty upset if I put 6 large into a tt kit for 500hp and a 12.5 quarter mile time.

FYI

TT FI G35 here at the strip (1/4) a few months back and he was playing around in the 13's and then ran his last pass during trials at 12 flat..not sure on MPH.

12 flat sounds very good. MPH should be around 110-120
