I agree with your statement if you're referring to Injens old SES system. I've heard that system on a Z too and it sounds that way b/c of no H pipe cross-over.
Injens Track Edition has a H pipe cross-over and makes the HKS sound ricer and higher pitched than the one we're talking about here.

The injen ti is a total rip of the hks hi power...from the H pipe to the Ti tips...It does sound good though and the only bad thing i can say about it is the drone...

I just installed the SES track edition about a week ago. It is mellowing out a little bit, but it is still loud. Remeber if it's to LOUD, Your TOO OLD! Whether its cars or music.

Im 18 years old, how can I be too old? Its all about taste. For me, Im going for the classy approach. The Injen was too aggressive sounding and looking for me.

Here's a video clip of my car with the Injen Track Edition and a z tube and KN filter.

yeah your car is the one that made me want to buy the exhaust! It doesnt sound that bad inside the car from the camera aspect.

unfortunately, cameras are often a poor representation of what the exhaust actually sounds like even though they usually offer a sufficient idea of what it sounds like. =/

Ya, its not too bad when youre WOT, its still loud but atleast its not as loud or bad as when it drones. It was the drone that made me get rid of it, not necessarily the loudness. If it didnt drone as much or as bad as it does, I might still have it. Of course, I love my FI intimidator

do you have a sound clip of the intimadator? Also is there away to take out the drone? Put silencers or no? What makes it so much different then the HKS if its a direct copy except for the ends?

some resonators might help. other than that, nope. youre stuck.

the injen has the fugly long neck design and the mufflers look funny.

of course, this is all my own opinion.
