I bought the car used, 2 black key, one "credit card" key, one oem remote and one remote starter remote.

I think the "vallet" key was used in dash to disable the imobilisator to be able to remote start the car.

we did a long car trip last summer and just in case I left my girlfriend one of the black key in case I lost mine during the trip or whatever...

Now my problem...she lost the key.....

I'm only left with one real key, what are my best/cheapest option to get another one?


(BTW, road trip was a blast..god this car is amazing....)

 

Buy the key off line and have the dealer cut it unless you have a hook up. The key for the G is going to cost you 150.00 or more w/o remote. WIth the remote you are looking at about 190.00 somewhere around there. Buy both the key and the remote off EBAY for like 20-30.00 and take it to the dealer to have them cut and program it. I lost my valet keys and had to have another set cut but thank God I knew someone at the dealer and got a sweet deal. Just be glad it's not the M35 or M45 the dealer told me 385.00 to cut those keys

 

well, I NEVER see any blank g35 key on ebay...any website sell blank key?

I remember there is a place that sells them you can have a ny lockssmith cut the key and just bring both keys and remots to the dealer and thy can reprogram the chips

Make sure you bring all keys to the dealership when programming. They will need to reprogram every key again.

 

Also if you are going to get the remote you can use any remote IE Maxima, Altima or 350Z. We all share the same remote model.

I bought a new key and had the reprograming done at my dealer for $74.00.
