This is Ian's (inTgr8r) new Z4M.

Why aren't you considering a 350z roadster or an 330i coupe? Seems like you aren't sure what you want in a car

But, I disagree about comfort....

I'm 6' & I have far more room in my Z4M than I did in my G. (head & leg)
I can easily wear a helmet & still clear the roof.
& the M seats are in a different league entirely.

-I don't know if the power M seats have more adjustment or not though....
Man, they must make different model Z4 Ms because I could barely fit in the coupe and I'm not even 6'. My son who is 6'2" can fit in the Z but barely and certainly far from comfortably. The G at least my G provides far more leg room than the Z4. Almost any two seater car will provide far less leg room than a car with a back seat since there is more room to work with when you have the area for a back seat.

Z4M..and it looks good..
how's the performance compared to G35 6mt?

They aren't even close. The Z has about the same performance as the E46 M3: 1/4 mile in about 13.4, but it stickers for around $57K decently equipped. Of course almost all Dealers are discounting them because not many people like the Z's styling. Personally the styling doesn't bother me. The lack of any trunk space is my issue.

Ouch...$57K? You can get a one year used GTR for that price, and then the performance issues (or lack thereof) won't be an issue I looked at that picture of the ZM and the interior doesn't look all that great for a $57K car If I had $57K to spend of a car for looks and decent handling, 2 seats, I say a one year old Cayman S.

What you see is what you get untill the Z4 is phased out.
Eventually it will be discontinued when the new Z2 comes out. (~ 3yrs)

Z2 is supposed to get the TT engine & be about 400lbs lighter;
more of a true sports car.

A new Z8 will become the new halo car for BMW.

Z2 is coming and a Z9. Z4M destroys the G coupe in every category performance wise. I ran 13.3 on the track so it's faster than the M3 stock. Hell of a car to drive and for purists only, if you don't like driving fast and go to track, don't buy it, the looks is just a bonus for the rest of the car.

I prefer the G to the 350Z in all repects, and the 330i is a 1998 design that is showing its age. I love the sound of the 3.0 in the 330 tho - a lot different from the Z4 even though they use the same engine

I am truly in a fix on what to get. The G35 looks fantastic from outside but the interior is not that great (hate the '80s steering wheel), not to mention the horror stories about bad engines, brakes, rattles and tire problems.

The Z4 is a nice package, sounds like a reliable car and looks modern. I lose the option of carrying more than one passenger, and the car looks a bit small. Not a deal breaker though

Yep, I agree with you here. I think the engine sound is similar to our G Coupe vs. the 350Z: Same engine, different sound.
