Window goes up, then back down 1/4 of the way...

Dealer said they could fix it 'while I wait'.

Does this mean they are just going to do the reset switch? I've had this problem before, and had the regulator replaced (both sides)

Think I should push to have it replaced again?

Also, anyone got any tricks to keeping the window up? I roll it up, then shut off the car before it can go back down....

My window does that, but its an 03 so I think its out of the Bumper-to-Bumper warranty already... even though it only has 45k miles. What do you think the chances of it getting fixed for free are?

Happened to me as well but the window wouldn't roll down! The drivers side was stuck in the up position. It was a total PITA paying tolls or getting fast food and having to open the door all the way with me hanging out of it. I think mine burned out at 55k miles or so.

Ok, I did the reset procedure myself last night....besides the button being crazy hard to press in, it wasn't too bad.

I love how it says, with the door panel hanging off, 'close the door'...umm..yeah how about I just press the 'door closed button' so the car thinks it instead of somehow trying to get the door and the hanging cover inside

Window sounds sickly now, so I'm gonna call. Looks like replacement number three

Happenes on my friends 05 350Z. i think is has something to do with the anti-pinch feature. The motor might be sensing something in the way and going back down.

Happened to me last year--when I went inside to a restaurant, and came back out in the pouring rain to discover that my passenger window was 1/4 of the way down. Needless to say, I got it fixed...
