One more TPMS question

Goofed this description--I put the IceX's on aftermarket rims, and didn't have the pressure senors moved over. So my question is why the TPMS going off now when it didn't for the first 2 months?
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– –––––
Has been a lot of discussion about this lately, but haven't seen anything that covered this aspect. Put the IceX on two months ago (which, BTW, are really great in the ice/snow) on 17" rims, and never had the TPS light come on. A few days ago, it suddenly popped up and hasn't gone off since then. The day it came on the streets/roads were pretty free of gunk so put more miles on the G than have been. Anyone with an idea why it should go on now after the winter set-ups have been on so long? (BTW, is a great warning light, no mistaking for what it is at all).

did you check your tire pressure? Maybe you got a leak somewhere? or someone wanted to mess with you and let some air out of your tire.

They Go Off When It Is Real Cold, I Was Driving And It Was Like 15 Degrees Outside, They Went Off Its Also About Tempature, I Believe.

Yes, because for every 10 degree drop in temperature, air pressure in your tires drop about 1psi.

are your winter tires mounted on your stock wheels or aftermarket?

I didn't bother moving my sensor over to my new wheels when I upgraded, and the only time my light comes on is after I've driven the car for 30 or 40 consecutive miles. Even when the light comes on, it resets automatically when I shut the car off, so I rarely ever see it. Frankly, I think TPMS systems are a great big pain in the a$$.

some people report that it take over 30 miles for the system to detect the sensors are missing, my 06 goes off as soon as I start it up, not a big deal

cold weather = lower tire pressure
You should measure tire pressure once a week at least before your start driving.
