debadging a lease

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had information about debadging a leased g35. Will I be "fined" or anything for debadging my coupe and returning the lease like that?

Thanks alot,
RJsd7

You have to return the G exactly how it was given to you or pay the fine (for labor + parts).

Good thing you're atleast debadging and not rebadging

.

debadge...keep it in your drawer...and rebadge with double sided tape when you're turning it in...I guess...keep a diagram somehow on where things should go? definitely sound like you wanna debadge, and why not have it the way you want it for the duration of the lease.

i think tint is ok for most dealerships...unless they're a PITA, they will accept the car back with tints. just don't go for 5% tint or something

Mine is leasd and I took the G35 off the rear. Most likely, the leasing company would never notice. I really don't care anyway. When I turned in my Acura CL-S, I took a good hard look at the rear end and noticed that the A C U R A was 1/2" higher on the right side than the left. They didn't say anything about that either.

When it is time for you to turn the car in at the end of the lease, just install a brand new set of emblems. They are inexpensive and easy to install.

^ +1 You'll probably be able to find some 3M tape and stick the originals back.

Take them off and just save the letters and put them back on when your lease is up
