Hey does any body know what the deal is with the skyline. IS the g35 coupe the same thing as the V35 skyline coupe? IS the rumor true that in 2006 there will be a V8 skyline in the USA. If you have any news about it please post thanks.

 

In Japan, the G35 coupe and sedan are called the Skyline Coupe and Sedan. they are the same car. The chassis code is v35, that's not what the car is called in Japan. Probably in 2005, the same GT-R that they get will probably be coming here (it's all but assured, and due to the popularity of the coupe, I think you definitely will see it). The newest GT-R will not be a V-8 but a TT V-6. They toyed with the idea of a V-8 for a while but then figured they should stick to their roots with a TTV-6. It's not entirely out of the question that the Gt-R will be sold here in the states with a V-8 instead of the TT, but I don't think that's likely. It used to be the case that the US had much stricter emission standards than the Japanese, but that gap is not nearly as great anymore, although the crash standards are.
