heated seats problem???

Is anybody having problems with their heated seats? My driver seat works when I put it on the warm setting but when I put it on the high setting the heat goes away like it's not working at all. On the passenger seat when I put the button either way, the heat doesn't come on at all. I brought it to my dealership and they are a bunch of idiots. They told me nothing is wrong and to pick it back up. I went there and made the tech test it in front of me. He felt it with his hand and said it's working. I sat in the seat and it was ice cold so I told him to sit in it and see and he wouldn't sit in it. I was practically yelling at him to sit there because I was so pissed that the problem wasn't fixed. He just kept saying that he can feel it with his hand. He then told me that G35 heated seats don't get very hot and that they should be called seat warmers instead. I said okay, then if it's a seat warmer why is the ****in seat freezing cold still when I sit in it?? By the way, we left the seats on the high position for 20 minutes with the doors closed and us outside waiting for it to heat up. After 20 minutes the seat was still freezing cold. So is anybody else having this problem or is he right that G35 seats don't get very warm? I told him I want this fixed and now I have to bring it back again. I'm so pissed!!

Re: heated seats problem???

sorry to hear the problem. if ur dealer is not cooperating threten to call Infiniti of north amarica and complain. that gets there attention real fast. they are affraid of getting bad mark on there report thingys. Keep up the complain untill they take notice and they will trust me. Every thing takes time. My seats heat up really fast and they get really hot and i have to turn them off or they make me sick. So there is deffently somtihng wrong with urs.

Mine warm noticeably too, so if you can't get them fixed at that dealer, try another. Also complain to Nissan like Carlos said.

Re: heated seats problem???

I think I have the same problem with my passenger one. Tell me if you get it fixed. I haven't had time to run to the dealer yet, and I haven't really used them in So Cal. I garage my car, so its not even cold enough in the mornings. =\

I haven't tried my passenger seat, but will today and report back. My driver's seat works, but I believe what you are experiencing is by design. Mine gets warm within 2 minutes or so, and then I can feel it go off after a while, then it comes back on. I think this is how it's designed so it doesn't overheat.

My drivers and passenger gets hotter than a bioatch. I have to turn them off to prevent 3rd degree burns. Really, take it back to them and ask for a different tech or take it to a different dealership.

Re: heated seats problem???

lol mine get too hot too. I just use the seat warmer button space as a cell phone holder. I'v only used the seat warmers once and that was by mistake. The cell phone hit the button to warm and I couldn't figure out why it was so hot in the car. When the seat heater is on not even AC can cool you down. If I never figured out that it was the seat heater I would of been spending a lot of money with a doctory trying to figure out why I start burning up.

I thought the seat warmer only activiates when you sit on it. Maybe thats why ur passenger one doesn't work? I have to turn mine off because its too hot sometimes.

Re: heated seats problem???

Out of the 10 times I used my heated seats, they only got to the point of being hot twice. I ran the car for 20 min yesterday, the heat got hot but not the seats. My grand cherokee seats will burn you, and my audi that i traded for the g35coupe would also get hot. Just don't want to go to the dealer and have him say that they seem warm enough. BTW both the audi and the jeep burned out and had to have the heaters replaced. Maybe the g really does have a thermostat to keep them from overheating, but it sounds like some of you have seats that do warm up quite well.
