Wrecked front bumper
No pics today, but will post them up.
Last night, I made a turn on my coupe (still have summer tires on my 20s) and slid into a wall of my apartment building. My bumper is all messed up, but when I turned my car on today smoke was coming out of the hood. Couldn't really tell where it was coming from. The one thing is I thought my washer fluid leaked, but I guess it must have been some other liquid that was leaking. Smelt really bad. The heat isn't working either.
It wasn't snowing badly, but I must have gone over black ice or something that I skid into the wall.
Now, what would everyone's suggestion be? Take it to a Nissan dealership, since Infiniti dealership is FAR? Call insurance on this, my insurance is very high as it is, and my deductible is 500 for collision. The bottom part of the car (under the bumper) seems to be messed up too.
What is my best option? Go with an aftermarket bumper, if so where can I buy one that will send one over really fast, or just go with the original bumper and through a nissan dealership? I just got this car in August, and I can't believe this happened. It's my fault, I should have gotten snow tires, but what do I do now...It was a light winter (not much snow in PA this year).
What are the costs for a new bumper?

I like it how you're more worried about what new bumper to get than fixing your car. :P
It doesn't sound like you have to take it to a stealership since you were going slow. Just take it to a mechanic you can trust to have it fixed. The only reason to take a car to a stealership is if it's something that's under warranty or something that's "more high-tech" that needs to be fixed.
Search the forums, there are multiple posts on the cost of body kit parts for the coupe. good luck...
PS: Get an estimate on how much to fix it (heater, parts, painting, and labor), and only then decide if you want to use your insurance. But I bet that's more than $500 bucks based on what you described.

Yeah, I'm going to take it to this one guy. He does things for cheap, if I pay cash
I am worried about getting it fixed, and just am not sure how to get it there. Get it towed or drive it...
