I have about $5000 and want to get more power out of my 06 6MT Coupe. What are the best add on's for me to buy to increase horsepower. By the way the budget is not static. If 6K buys me another 30BHP then so be it!!! Help here please.

 

Buy a cheap fox body mustang

Drop a 351 into it

Twin turbo it

Add nitrous

There's more power. Don't dump 6k into a car just to get it into high 12s/low 13s.

buy a cheap fox body mustang

drop a 520 in it.

strip the car.

definately... i'd buy a used blower system off of someone and slap it on... cant go wrong and u'll be putting down somewhere near 340whp

my idea - 3,000lb car with 650hp ; + you still have a relatively stock G

 

depends on what you mean by words 'stock'. You strip your car completly and it'll be as stock as they come (backseat, AC, power seats/windows, etc).

 

but your idea involves buying an ugly car! Im all about have a 2nd go fast car, I have one, but a mustang...........idk about that.

do you even own a G? because the guy wants to make his G faster, not buy a POS and make that fast. i'm sure all of us didn't buy the G because we wanted a super fast car, we bought it because it looks, luxury, and decent power. if you're all about just going fast, you bought the wrong car, and if the original poster is really all about just going fast, he should just get a bike...

 

Go w/ a supercharger. You can get the Stillen or Vortech out of the box, Stillen putting 300-340 to the wheels w/ the Vortech putting out 350 to the wheel out of the box. The more power you want, the more it'll cost you consider the other part's of the car you'll have to upgrade, whether that be engine rebuild, tranny, etc. You'll need a little more than 5k for either the stillen or vortech.
