I am going to go in for my first oil change tomorrow at the dealer. I wanted to change my oil to synthetic, but I know the dealer does not carry this kind of oil.

I wanted to know how many quarts of synthetic oil I need to bring for them in order to change my oil?

And what is the best synthetic oil out there for our cars?

How much does changing the oil cost when you bring your own to the dealer?

You'll need 5 US quarts of oil for a full oil change. A lot are using Mobil 1 .
The dealer shouldn't charge any more than $15 or $20 for the change.

And which number oil do I get? (i.e. 0w-30, 5w-30?)

If I were you, I'd use the OEM filter (which the dealer will have). But you can use an aftermarket one if you want.

Also, I would recommend giving them a larger size filter, like the one called for by the Maxima. It is the same diameter, but about 1" longer. If you care, I use the Bosch Premium 3323 on my G35.
