Remember you telling me about that at the Stanford meet staging area.
Nice...very nice. I'm envious of your set-up.
Keep us up to date as you break it in and afterwards.

first gear is tricky on this one too actually. Maybe because its still new. It tries to grab so hard but when trying to move from a stop. I was told that it is because of the material of the pressure plate. Let's see if it becomes less grabby after breaking in.
After that I daresay that its as smooth if not smoother than the S2k after that.

Anyone have experience with grabby clutches that feel like its trying to bite immediately and sorta judders at take off if not done perfectly?
just wondering if its just the adjustment of the clutch.

I did an experiment by keeping the revs at 2k and letting the clutch engage, surprisingly the revs came down to 600rpm.... making me think that its super grabby.
Both of my previous clutch have never displayed that much of a drop in rpm when doing the same thing.

appreciate the input.
Better safe than sorry.

maybe because its a race clutch. Mine does the same thing. it's the nature of the clutch. there is no play in the engagement. you will need to rev slight higher and get the engagement right. it will become slight less grabby after you break it in. but it's meant to grip very fast for launches. so dont expect to be able to feather like a stock clutch in traffic.

I had a racing clutch installed awhile back in my gsr. Tried to grab right away. Took some getting used to, but eventually it will where in.

bled the clutch line, replaced the stock clutch line with a SS clutch line. Still no freeplay. Cylinderstroke was adjusted to recommended value..

Does freeplay come from the spring ? If that's the case, the spring isn't returning the pedal. The pedal is returned only as far as the clutch hydraulics return it.

the freeplay is in the clutch itself, how much it can grip slightly. With a race clutch it works more like a gear engagement. So no play there. Ive had my clutch for a couple hundred miles, I think its just takes getting used to and learn how to get it right. It's actually pretty sweet.

Very nice, glad to see you are happy with it.

I have had the UR flywheel and JWT clutch for about a year now and am very happy with it. There is almost no chatter unless you are ~1500-2000 rpm at low speed in high gear like all the 1-pc flywheels.

Hey Cloud. Are you running ss clutch lines? What kind of clutch fluid did you use after the bleed?
