I can't seem to get out of the snow. Brand new tires but the car is fishtailing.
I seen corvette and mustangs driving fine in this weather.
I went and bought several gallon of water and put in the trunk.
I hate the G coupe in the snow.
any one have this experience?

Drove home yesterday in the freezing rain/snow/sleet. There were some tense moments going up hills etc even w/ Dunlop M3s on the car. You have to be smooth in your inputs; throttle & brake.

But yeah, I agree, it kinda sucks in the snow, but I knew that going in.

We had that weather here in Chicago yesterday, and I have to say the G handled real nice for me. I have 17" Blizzaks.

Compared to my last car, 99 Maxima with All Seasons, actually had more confidence with G. Tracked well and rear felt planted for the most part.

Of course I was pretty gentle with throttle and steering inputs.

Sorry, but I don't feel bad for you. Do you realize you drive a sports car, with SUMMER tires on it? Our tires are MUCH higher performance tires than Mustang tires. It's the price you pay to play. You need to buy another set of tires for the winter with this RWD sports car. The car wasn't designed to be driven in the snow on stock tires.

He said he had new tires, but didn't specify what kind. I'm curious if he has snow tires too.

But yes, w/ summer tires, you're not going anywhere.

Is there a reason why the streets are not plowed yet? Does philly have any plow trucks?

If your driving around this time of year in the Northeast with summer perfomance tires.....you are asking for trouble....

The summer tires are relatively useless under 40 degrees....and in snow they are down right DANGEROUS

I put on 17" rims with Dunlop Winter Sport M3's........They are at least predictable in the snow.....and driving conservatively will get you around.
Any eradict or sudden changes will undoubtably cause your car to squirm all over....

If you drive like chrlesmd said, you should get around fine.....

No car will perform well on icy roads.....thats a given.

Obviously you neglected to purchase snow tires. Understandable if this is your first car with summer performance tires.

Do not attempt to drive in the snow in them, please.

I've got Falken 452 all seasons on 17" rims, getting around just fine in 3-6" of snow. The traction control kicks in frequently, but that is what it's for. I just take it easy, no sudden inputs from the throttle or steering.
